The title defense started on the Real Madrid firmly. The
rout of Basel (5-1) cleared doubts born with two losses -Real League and
Atletico Madrid Society and restored confidence to a team that only knows since
added wins and most with thrashings.
Much of the blame has full recovery of the Portuguese
Cristiano Ronaldo, who since scoring in the first match of UEFA Champions
League has signed a hat-trick against Deportivo La Coruña, a 'poker' goal
against Elche and again both El Madrigal against Villarreal.
With 68 goals in the most prestigious competition in the
world at club level, Cristiano is only three to reach Raúl González. He'll try
in Sofia, where he arrived in his physical peak in many months, and playing
without discomfort in the knee that conditioned the end of last season, the
World Cup and the start of this.

Bulgarian team touched the feat in his debut at Anfield, where he suffered
